ARTIST'S STATEMENT






It is the condition of the artist to remedy the world around them by and through art. Nothing is so complete as it is through the prism of making. It is through the act of making that the deepest aspects of the intuition can be alighted. The purity of intuition is forever affixed to the consciousness of seeing. Through that seeing, the search for visual meaning in the world, the intellect can render itself equal to the inner music that drives instinct and thus art comes forward to be revealed.

The paintings I make come from this form of doing and making. There are no direct lines connecting or disconnecting the images from a place within that cannot be known except through art. The act of making art sets in motion the now externalized directives and gives way to the final image.
